Cookie policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies (such as local storage) for preferences. This policy describes how Upendra Competition Institute uses these technologies.
Cookies we use
Today we use a minimal set:
- Essential — authentication and session: cookies or session tokens that keep you signed in after Google OAuth (or mock sign-in in development) and protect your account
- Preferences — theme: storage that remembers light or dark theme so the interface matches your choice
What we do not use
- Advertising or tracking cookies for third-party ad networks
- Product analytics cookies (we do not run analytics tools yet)
- Social media pixels for retargeting
Third parties
When you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies as part of the OAuth flow, governed by Google’s policies. We do not control those cookies.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you disable essential session cookies, you may not be able to stay signed in or use parts of the service. Clearing storage may reset your theme preference.
For more about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy policy.
Changes
If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this page and, where required, ask for consent before using them.
